About Me

My photo
V P Gangadharan, Sydney
One who whistled solo adding onto the sigh of breeze through the coconut palms, crash of waves on a silvery beach, swam across the sea to an island far away from shore unsupported and pumped out stamina from every sinew of the body and laid flat on the back cradled by the swollen waves, waiting for a passing canoe. one who ungratefully caused his mother weep by brushing aside the drugs she force-fed to cure his whooping cough; had bowed out of a shibboleth that at the behest of own mother, to stoop and touch the feet of an ascetic pilgrim his devout uncle escorted home; pilfered a bundle of cowry-shells from an astrologer by effectively rescinding his astrological calculations scheduled for the family and got clouted by uncle. One that accompanied wife to the outer door of the temple shoving away the burnt smell of incense that precipitated ashes of sin onto craggy crust of the earth for impunity, and unbiased visited and blissfully shared spirituality from temple, pagoda, haridwara, church, synagogue and mosque… [Best writer awards for short story comps- Delhi Literary Workshop, AITUC Silver Jubilee, Kottayam Literary Org, Rashmi Publishing (Calcutta), Ashraf Memorial (S’pore)]
